In this video, Dr. Joe Bresee, with CDC's Influenza Division, describes the
symptoms of swine flu and warning signs to look for that indicate the need
for urgent medical attention.
Swine Flu New Hampshire
New Hampshire physicians have been asked to keep a close eye on patients with respiratory illnesses as cases of human swine flu continue to increase.
The World Health Organization says at least 81 people have died from severe pneumonia caused by the flu-like illness in Mexico, and it has declared the virus a public health emergency of pandemic potential.
New Hampshire public health officials held an emergency meeting Saturday to prepare for a possible outbreak here. The New Hampshire Sunday News says doctors were told to be on alert and to find out whether patients with respiratory illness have recently traveled to Mexico, California or Texas.
